Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what TrustDyne stores in your browser. We use browser storage (cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage) only to run the service. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking.
1. What we store
| Name | Where | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
trustdyne_auth_token | sessionStorage | Keeps you signed in | Until you close the tab or sign out |
trustdyne_refresh_token | sessionStorage | Renews your sign-in without asking you to log in again | Until you close the tab or sign out |
trustdyne_active_consent | localStorage | Remembers an active scan authorisation you have issued, so it can be shown and enforced | Until the authorisation expires or you clear storage |
td_pentest_engagement_id | localStorage | Remembers the engagement you selected in the internal assessment tool | Until you clear storage |
trustdyne_theme | localStorage | Remembers your light or dark display choice, only saved if you use the theme toggle | Until you clear storage |
The first three are strictly necessary for you to use the service securely and do not need consent under PECR. The last two are functional preferences that stay on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
2. Third-party requests
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when a page loads. Google sets no cookies for this on our site. If you pay by card, Stripe can set its own cookies during checkout under Stripe's privacy policy.
3. Managing storage
You can clear storage in your browser settings at any time. Clearing the sign-in entries signs you out. Clearing trustdyne_active_consent means you will need to re-authorise active scans.
